| Description |
Are you seeking a challenging FC role within a dynamic and exciting entertainments company? Do you enjoy introducing new systems and improving the productivity of a finance function as well as supporting the strategic focus of the business? Then this could be the role for you!
Overseeing the Company`s finance control function of three staff, you will provide reliable financial support to the business and manage all financial reporting and information. You will maintain extremely high standards of efficiency, set up new systems and hit the ground running with little support from above. The role will develop into one of strategic input into the running of the business.
Responsibilities include: - Liaise directly with the Company`s appointed accountants in respect of: - Preparation of monthly managements accounts - Monthly payroll - Quarterly Vat Returns - Preparation of annual statutory accounts - Managing Sales and Purchase ledger - Managing the credit control process - Year end accounts and reporting - Cash flow and forecasting - Monthly P&L and Trial Balance reporting - Assisting with all strategic financial reporting - Improving systems and reporting capability wherever possible - Assisting and specifying improvements to our in-house accounting systems - Ad hoc responsibilities as required by the Directors
Person Specification: - Minimum of 5 years (post qualified) experience in a relevant environment (media, entertainment background) - Experienced accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified) - Hard working, proactive and commercial - Ability to introduce new systems from day one - Proven track record in managing a team of finance professionals and ability to set a good example of working practices - IT literate with good practical knowledge of accounting systems including Quickbooks - Self-starter with the ability to work proactively, on own initiative and without direction |
