Bookkeeper – Music & Entertainment Firm – West End, London

Our client specialises in the entertainment industry and more specifically the music industry. They cover a wide range of clients, some performing in the largest international stadia and others in intimate local venues. Amongst their client base are many household names (whose records adorn the open plan offices) meaning that a lot of the work you will be conducting will be with HNWIs. The firm’s strength is within the music sector however the clients often have ancillary business which they own / run. Their largest clients have annual turnovers of £30m.
The firm itself has 2 Directors and a total staff number of c.40. Most of their clients come by referrals due to their reputation within the market and as such the firm has enjoyed a steady period of growth.
Bookkeeper responsibilities include:
- Processing invoices, expenses & credit cards including data entry onto a cloud accounting system
- Bank reconciliations
- Royalty statement analysis
- Preparing supplier payments and raising sales invoices and chasing debtors
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and tour accounts
- Liaise with suppliers, promoters, artists, management company, booking agents, crew and labels.
- Prepare Excel management reporting
As a bookkeeper, you will meet these requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a bookkeeping position
- A keen interest in clients in the creative sector
- Must be proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook
