Our client, a rapidly growing mid-tier accountancy firm in the West End, is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller as part of an overhaul of the service provided by their internal finance function.
The role will focus on ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place as well creating a suite of management information reports covering the entire spectrum from aged debtor and WIP reports, fees and cash collected by Partner, comparison between budget and actual, as well as recoverability that reflects the profits and losses made on individual jobs.
In addition, you will take a lead role in creating a monthly, quarterly and annual budget for the firm that includes fees, wages, overheads and other issues on both a profit and loss account basis, as well as cash flow.
As part of the restructure, the successful candidate will take responsibility for creating a structure for the department and recruiting the appropriate personnel.
- be a qualified accountant with experience as a Financial Controller or Financial/Management Accountant
- have experience of working in an internal finance function of a professional services firm
- demonstrate the ability to positively impact a finance structure
