Our client a successful property development company currently with over 1,000 finished homes across the UK are looking to continue their impressive growth plans.
Project Accountant duties and responsibilities:
You will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of projects updating and managing the business plans and providing accurate forecasting. You will also support the financial appraisal of new development opportunities, creating and enhancing financial models and tools to support the business
Responsible for planning and reporting of development income and expenditure including long range business plans and budgets
Plan and report performance of development programme against plans and budgets
Prepare and review management accounts, forecasts, budgets, financial appraisals and associated analysis
Produce rolling cash flow forecasts and quarterly cash flow statements for development expenditure and income
Contribute to the development, implementation and review of all financial policies and procedures appropriate to the agreed objectives
To develop systems and reports to ensure the effective and efficient financial monitoring and management of a portfolio of development projects
Assist in the production of annual budgets and individual project budgets at the initial project viability stage
The Successful Applicant
Likely to be a qualified accountant or QBE, with previous experience working in the property development sector.
Financial modelling experience
Able to interpret and critique complex financial data
Have a good understanding of accounting standards and requirements
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce meaningful summary management reports
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to effectively communicate at all levels.
