Audit Manager - Top 30 Firm - City of London

Would you like the chance to work for a large Top 30 accountancy firm which offers a small company, family feel? Would you like to have your own portfolio of clients with turnovers up to £100m?

If so, our client require an experienced manager with a professional services background to work within their Audit and Accounts department. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients and will have the responsibility of managing the client relationship and ensuring that expectations are managed accordingly.

The role will involve planning, supervising and reviewing audit, accounts, and corporation tax with an approximately 70% Audit and 30% Accounts and Tax workload. You will also be supervising junior staff, helping them with technical queries and professional development (e.g. conducting appraisals) and you may also have the chance to get involved in recruitment of new staff. The role will also include performing billing management and assisting in generating new business.

The successful Audit Manager will:

Be ACA or ACCA qualified, with a minimum of 5 years’ post qualified experience in a UK practice
Have proven audit experience with a wide range of clients
Have proficient technical ability
Have an awareness of corporate tax, personal tax, and indirect tax
Have proven leadership and supervisory skills
A good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft and preferably PROaudit, AP and Alphatax
