Business Tax Consultant - Tax Boutique - West London
Are you a Tax practitioner looking for a role as a business tax consultant?
Due to continued growth and success within the business, our client is seeking to recruit an ambitious, tax practitioner. You will work in a client facing role alongside experienced engineers and scientists, in the delivery of bespoke solutions to clients from a variety of industries. Currently in the UK, our client has specific expertise in the identification of qualifying R&D, optimisation of R&D tax credits, Patent Box and acquisition of R&D grants.
Business Tax Consultant responsibilities include:
- First point of contact with clients;
- Investigation and identification of qualifying R&D projects and draft of technical reports in plain English
- Participation in technical discussions with clients as well as with colleagues to optimise claims
- through interviewing key business decision makers and technical leads;
- Prepare or review of R&D Tax Relief calculations, with support from technical colleagues, and the filing of the same with HMRC;
- Providing support to R&D Tax Relief claims in the event of HMRC Audit/enquiries;
The successful Business Tax Consultant will have:
- A background in UK corporation tax
- Experience of dealing with R&D Tax Relief or HMRC
- A tax qualification (highly desirable) - ATT, CTA
- A strong interest in scientific or technological developments
