Tax Director Position – Colchester, Essex – Top 20 Accountancy Firm

Are you a Tax Manager, Senior Manager or Director looking to build a Tax Team for a Top 20 firm? Would you like to be responsible for business development and management of the Tax department? Are you looking for a local office and flexible working hours with only 2 days in the office?

Our client is a Top 15 practice known for their excellent training schemes from trainee to Partner, international links and flexible working policy. With a national network of offices, they offer both national and international services, to wide ranges of clients within their specialised teams. Tax Director responsibilities will include:

Developing and managing the tax function
Business development
Provide high level tax consultancy/advice to clients and the firm
To maximise profitability of existing and potential client work
Develop a leading/mentor role with the tax managers

As a Tax Director - you will:

Be CTA qualified
Have over 6 years’ Corporate Tax experience
Experience with complex clients and managing client relationships
Demonstrable experience in developing business and creating key relationships
Have excellent staff management skills
Have experience of onboarding new clients including leading projects and providing training
