VAT Assistant Manager

VAT Assistant Manager – London – Top 20 Firm

Are you a VAT Senior or VAT Assistant Manager seeking a new challenge? Are you looking to join a firm within the top 20 with a wide range of listed clients as well as medium sized clients? Are you seeing an opportunity that allows 50% hybrid working?

Our client is a Top 20 firm, offering market-leading international opportunities. Over the last 10 years, the firm has operated in over 70 countries, and now boast multiple international AIM listed clients. They're also a part of a worldwide network of accounting firms, allowing them to provide various international secondments and transfers. Despite the international presence, the firm is renowned in the UK for its expertise in the London insurance markets.

VAT Assistant Manager responsibilities include:

  • Tender proposals
  • Assistance in VAT marketing initiatives
  • Due diligence as part of Transaction Services project
  • VAT input to insolvency/restructuring team
  • Training staff/clients on VAT matters
  • Investigation and resolution of VAT queries
  • Review of VAT registration applications and VAT returns.

As a VAT Assistant Manager, you will:

  • Be ACCA or ATT/CTA qualified
  • Have over 4 years’ Indirect Tax Experience
  • Exposure to managing a portfolio of VAT clients
  • Experience with VAT compliance and advisory
  • Strong knowledge of VAT

In return, as a VAT Assistant Manager, you will receive:

  • 35-hour week
  • paid overtime
  • 26 days holiday
  • 10am-4pm core hours
  • hybrid working (50% working from home)
