Our client is an established independent firm with a strong presence across Essex and London, currently operating with 7 Directors. They are known for their people-focused approach, providing bespoke financial solutions to a broad range of entrepreneurial businesses, from innovative start-ups to large private groups.

Accounts & Audit Senior responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements for a varied client base, ensuring all deadlines and technical standards are met.
Prepare complex statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for a diverse portfolio of SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive advice on accounting treatments and identifying opportunities for additional advisory services.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development through on-the-job training.

As the successful candidate you will

Be ACA or ACCA Qualified with a proven track record in both audit and accounts within a UK practice environment.
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
Have experience leading on-site audits and managing the full accounts production process for multiple clients simultaneously.
Possess a commercially minded approach and the ability to build lasting relationships with business owners.
