As an Audit Semi Senior, you will:

Assist with and complete audits from planning through to completion in accordance with prescribed procedures, servicing a varied portfolio of Owner-Managed Businesses (OMBs) and SMEs.
Produce detailed audit planning documents, identify potential technical difficulties, and ensure the correct audit tests are applied to gather sufficient evidence.
Allocate specific audit cycles to junior staff members, providing clear briefs, ongoing technical guidance, and coaching on-site.
Monitor job progress closely to ensure deadlines and budgets are effectively managed, completing final analytical reviews and drafting client summary letters.
Produce and review comprehensive sets of financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP before passing them to senior team members.
Evaluate the performance of junior staff on jobs, providing constructive feedback and completing formal audit review forms upon assignment completion.

As the successful candidate you will:

Be actively studying towards your ICAS or ACCA qualification with proven audit experience gained within a public practice environment.
Demonstrate solid up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP and UK auditing standards.
Possess strong planning, completion, and analytical skills, alongside previous experience mentoring or guiding junior team members.
Be computer literate with strong Excel skills; experience using CaseWare (accounts and audit) is highly advantageous but not essential.
