Junior Accountant – London - Boutique Accountancy Firm

Our client is a 5 partner, rapidly growing professional services firm that specialise in working with high potential SMEs. Junior Accountant responsibilities include:

• Recording invoices raised and bills received
• Reconciling bank transactions
• Posting journals for prepayments, accruals, payroll and other monthly/annual adjustments
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns for bookkeeping clients
• Assisting with monthly payrolls for clients
• Assisting senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly management/statutory accounts
• Assisting with any other related accounting and general administration work on an ad hoc basis

As a Junior Accountant, you will:

• Be studying for your AAT or recently qualified (ideally first time passes)
• Have at least a years’ experience in accountancy
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping
