Personal Tax Manager/Senior Manager - North London

Our client, a leading independent firm of accountants in North London, are seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join the firm, reporting to the Tax Partner. Responsibilities will include providing advisory support to a high-profile HNW client base as well as managing the compliance team.

The workload for the role is 70% advisory focused with 30% managing more complex compliance assignments and the firm has many household name individuals within their client base. There is a significant focus on non-domicile and trusts assignments within the portfolio.

The role would suit someone who is a Manager or Senior Manager with strong experience of providing proactive advisory support to clients and of strong staff management. The firm prides itself on it's general practice focus and partner-led client relationships and therefore look for their tax team to provide an over-arching mixed tax service. That said, as the Partner has a particular strength on the Corporate side, someone with a strong private client background would suit the role well

Whilst the firm are comfortable that the successful candidate might be happy to remain at the Manager / Senior Manager level, there is also the strong potential for this role to develop into a Private Client Partner role.

A Personal Tax Manager/Senior Manager will:

Be CTA or ACA (or ACCA and STEP) qualified
Have over 5 years’ Personal Tax experience
Experience working on your own portfolio of clients consisting of directors of owner-managed businesses, property clients, HNWI's, landed estates, non-UK domiciled individuals and non-resident clients
Experience delivering personal tax advisory
