About the Firm This Independent Firm of Accountants is a leading multi-disciplinary practice known for providing high-level accounting, tax, and advisory services to a vast range of individuals, families, and trusts. The Cambridge office acts as a key hub of regional expertise, offering a collaborative culture where professionals are given the autonomy to lead and the resources to excel. With a dedicated private client team of 35 professionals—including 4 partners—the firm provides a structured path for progression backed by a clear 2030 growth strategy.
As a Trust Manager you will:

Assist partners and directors with complex advisory projects, including the strategic setting up and closing of onshore trusts.

Manage high-level estate administration duties, including the preparation of probate applications, estate accounts, and inheritance tax (IHT) returns.

Identify and convert business development opportunities, including structuring tailored fee quotes for new work and offering additional services to existing clients.

Keep abreast of the latest technical updates within the trust arena, sharing knowledge across the wider department and representing the firm at industry events.
As the successful candidate you will:

Hold relevant demonstrable experience gained within trust and probate professional services, ideally supported by formal CTA, STEP, or CILEX qualifications.

Possess expert technical knowledge of personal and trust compliance, including IHT returns, trust accounts, and Trust Registration Service (TRS) reporting.

Demonstrate experience in advising onshore trusts, with any exposure to offshore trust structures considered highly advantageous.

Exhibit a proven track record of encouraging, training, and motivating junior team members and managing departmental workflows efficiently.
