VAT Compliance Manager – Top 30 Firm – London

Are you a VAT Manager looking to join a supportive, collaborative in Central London that offer excellent progression?

Our client is a Top 30 firm known for their proactive and driven approach, close-knit teams and vibrant social events. As the largest single office accountancy firm in the UK, the firm is comprised of various specialised teams, led by home-grown, experienced partners.

VAT Compliance Manager responsibilities will include:

• Support and mentor junior team members through client calls, regular 1-to-1s, and guidance on meeting compliance deadlines and developing technical skills.
• Review and refine internal resources, VAT returns, and EU VAT compliance updates to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Manage team operations by preparing monthly management updates and coordinating tax office enquiries, including tracking, risk assessment, and timely responses.
• Oversee financial aspects by tracking profitability of enquiries and advising on fees, alongside producing VAT/GST advisory reports across EU, UK, and global jurisdictions

As a VAT Compliance Manager you will be/have:

• ACCA or ATT/CTA qualified
• Over 5 years’ Indirect Tax Experience
• Managing a portfolio of VAT clients responsible for the delivery of all aspects of assignments
• Experience with VAT compliance
• Ideally have EU client experience
• Staff management experience
