As an Agricultural Accounts Manager, you will:

Manage the daily operations and workflow of the agricultural accounting division in Dumfries, ensuring all accounts, VAT returns, and financial submissions meet highest technical standards.
Provide direct line management, mentorship, and technical guidance to the accounts team, supporting their professional development and conducting formal appraisals.
Work directly with farming enterprises and agricultural clients as a trusted advisor, identifying strategic tax planning, restructuring, and commercial growth opportunities.
Actively promote the practice across regional events and industry initiatives to build new client relationships and expand the firm's agricultural presence.

As the successful candidate you will:

Hold an AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualification, or be qualified by experience with extensive senior agricultural accountancy practice background.
Possess 5+ years of accountancy practice experience managing client portfolios with strong technical expertise in statutory accounting standards.
Demonstrate proven leadership capability in overseeing team workflows, conducting staff appraisals, and managing operational productivity.
Have proficiency using specialized accounting software and practice management tools such as Digita (DAPA), Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or APS.
