Our client is a highly respected Independent Accountancy Firm with a significant presence across the UK. Known for their modern working practices and people-first culture, they oversee a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses and large private entities.

Senior Accountant responsibilities

Lead the preparation and finalisation of statutory accounts and working papers for a diverse portfolio of limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships with business owners and providing clear, practical financial advice.
Oversee the full assignment lifecycle from planning to completion, ensuring files are high-quality and ready for Manager review.
Mentor and support junior trainees and Assistants, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback to aid their professional development.

As the successful candidate you will

Be ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of experience within a UK accountancy practice.
Demonstrate a strong technical background in preparing accounts for a variety of sectors and business structures.
Have experience in supervising junior staff and managing multiple workflow deadlines effectively.
