With continued investment in its people and services, the firm offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious auditor to take on increasing responsibility, build strong client relationships and develop towards Audit Assistant Manager level.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and delivering statutory audit assignments for a varied portfolio of SMEs and corporate clients.
Carry out audit fieldwork, substantive testing and analytical reviews, ensuring assignments meet relevant auditing standards.
Support the management of audit engagements, including monitoring progress, deadlines and resource allocation.
Act as a key point of contact for clients during audit assignments, resolving queries and maintaining strong working relationships.
Identify audit risks, accounting issues and weaknesses in internal controls, contributing to audit findings reports.
Supervise and mentor junior audit team members, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
Work closely with Managers and Assistant Managers to resolve technical matters and deliver high-quality audit engagements.
Collaborate with colleagues across accounts, tax and advisory teams to identify opportunities to provide additional client support.

As an Audit Senior you will:

Be ACA or ACCA qualified, or approaching completion of your professional qualifications.
Have strong external audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
Be confident carrying out audit fieldwork and supporting assignments from planning through to completion.
Demonstrate sound technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, IFRS and relevant auditing standards.
Have experience identifying audit risks and reviewing internal controls.
Be comfortable communicating with clients and supporting junior colleagues.
Ideally have experience using CaseWare or CCH, although training will be provided.
Be organised, proactive and motivated to develop your technical expertise and leadership skills.
