Responsibilities

Lead statutory audit assignments from planning through to completion for a varied portfolio of SMEs, charities and corporate clients.
Manage audit fieldwork, ensuring assignments are completed efficiently, within agreed deadlines and to a high technical standard.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and resolving audit queries throughout engagements.
Prepare and review audit working papers, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and relevant auditing standards.
Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior audit team members, providing technical guidance and constructive feedback.
Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax computations where required, gaining exposure to a broader range of accounting assignments.
Identify audit risks, weaknesses in internal controls and opportunities to improve clients' financial processes.
Work closely with Managers and Partners on technical matters, client relationships and wider advisory opportunities.

As an Audit Senior you will:

Be ACA or ACCA qualified, or approaching completion of your professional qualifications.
Have strong external audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
Be confident leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
Demonstrate sound technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and relevant auditing standards.
Have experience supervising junior colleagues and reviewing their work.
Ideally have experience preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations.
Be comfortable managing client relationships, budgets and competing deadlines.
Be proactive, organised and motivated to continue developing your technical expertise and leadership skills.
