Responsibilities

Plan, lead and complete statutory audit assignments for a varied portfolio of SMEs, larger companies and charitable organisations.
Carry out audit testing, substantive procedures and analytical reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant auditing standards.
Manage audit fieldwork, monitoring progress against budgets and deadlines and reporting directly to Audit Managers.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, resolving queries and maintaining strong working relationships throughout engagements.
Supervise, train and review the work of junior audit team members, providing technical guidance and constructive feedback.
Prepare financial statements for companies and charities, where desired.
Gain additional exposure to corporation tax computations and other accounting assignments, depending on your interests.
Work closely with Managers and Partners to identify audit risks, resolve technical issues and deliver high-quality client service.

As an Audit Senior you will:

Be ACA or ACCA qualified, although finalists with strong audit experience will also be considered.
Have at least 2 years' relevant external audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
Be confident planning and completing audit assignments, with experience leading fieldwork and supervising junior colleagues.
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and relevant auditing standards.
Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build client relationships and report effectively to Managers.
Ideally have experience using QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, CCH Accounts Production, CCH Audit Automation or Alphatax, although full training will be provided.
Be organised, detail-oriented and motivated to continue developing your technical expertise.
