Senior Accountant – Oxford, Oxfordshire – 13 Partner Firm

Our client is a strong performing independent accountancy practice with a culture of collaborative working from the Partners right down to the graduate intake. The office is open plan with the Partners working out on the floor in an environment that is informal but driven and busy! This firm has a strong reputation in the Oxfordshire area which makes them well-positioned for consistent growth.

Senior Accountant responsibilities include:

A comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles underpinning bookkeeping, accounts, audit and tax.
Working on and leading audits from planning to completion.
Drafting statutory accounts, ready for discussion with the client having dealt with queries during preparation, without supervision.
Takes responsibility for the production and delivery of fully reconciled draft management accounts which are presented with meaningful analytical review, having ensured that all queries have been fully resolved with the client.
Preparation of accurate corporation tax returns and associated schedules.

As a Senior Accountant, you will:

Be ACA or ACCA Qualified, or finalist
Have experience of reviewing accounts preparation assignments
Experience leading small audit engagements unsupervised
Demonstrate the ability to supervise a small team
Have a strong skillset across accountancy, including corporate tax.
Have experience of accounts preparation assignments under IFRS, FRS102, FRS102A or FRS105
