Its Accounting Services team works with a varied portfolio of businesses, offering exposure to complex accounting matters, technical advisory work and opportunities to improve client processes.

With a strong track record of internal development and a collaborative management team, the firm offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager to take on a leadership role, influence departmental improvements and contribute to the continued development of the practice.

Responsibilities

Manage a varied portfolio of accounting clients, overseeing the preparation and review of statutory accounts and related assignments.
Lead and develop a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants, including junior staff and apprentices, providing technical guidance, coaching and support.
Review complex accounting assignments, resolving technical issues and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards.
Work closely with fellow Managers to coordinate workflow, allocate resources and ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing technical accounting advice and supporting their ongoing financial reporting requirements.
Assist clients with accounting software, financial reporting queries and improvements to their accounting processes.
Collaborate with colleagues across tax, audit and advisory teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Work alongside Partners to identify opportunities to improve departmental efficiency, client service and internal processes.

As an Accountancy Manager you will:

Be ACA or ACCA qualified, with significant accounts preparation and review experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
Have strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and relevant financial reporting standards.
Be confident reviewing complex statutory accounts and resolving technical accounting matters.
Have proven experience managing, coaching and developing a team of accountants at varying levels of seniority.
Be experienced in managing client portfolios, maintaining strong relationships and overseeing assignment deadlines.
Ideally have experience working with healthcare clients, including GP practices, doctors or dentists, although this is not essential.
Be confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Be commercially aware, proactive and comfortable contributing ideas to improve departmental efficiency and service delivery.
