The firm's specialist rural accounts and advisory team works with a diverse portfolio of agricultural businesses, landed estates, equine enterprises and family-owned businesses. Combining traditional accountancy services with specialist tax planning and commercial advice, the team supports clients with both their business and personal financial affairs.

With a collaborative working environment, direct access to Partners and a strong emphasis on professional development, the firm offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager to broaden their advisory expertise, develop client relationships and play a key role in the growth of the department.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of rural and agricultural clients, overseeing statutory accounts, VAT returns, self-assessment and related compliance services.
Provide specialist tax planning advice across Inheritance Tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Income Tax and trusts and estates.
Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted adviser and identifying opportunities to support their business and personal financial objectives.
Review financial statements, tax computations and technical advisory reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
Lead, mentor and develop junior team members, including delegating work, reviewing performance and providing technical guidance.
Manage workflow, assignment budgets, WIP and billing, ensuring deadlines and recoverability targets are met.
Work closely with Partners and colleagues across tax and advisory teams to deliver tailored solutions to complex client matters.
Contribute to business development activities, including networking, identifying new advisory opportunities and strengthening existing client relationships.

As an Accounts Manager you will:

Be ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified, with strong experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
Have experience managing a portfolio of clients and delivering accounts preparation, compliance and advisory services.
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 105.
Have a sound understanding of personal and business taxation, including IHT, CGT, Income Tax and VAT.
Ideally have experience working with agricultural businesses, landed estates or rural clients, although a strong interest in developing this specialism would be valuable.
Have proven experience supervising, coaching and developing junior colleagues.
Be commercially aware, confident managing client relationships and comfortable identifying opportunities to deliver additional advisory services.

What You’ll Receive

Salary of £55,000 to £70,000 per annum.
28 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to 3 additional days.
