This established 12 Partner Firm has approximately 145 professionals across three UK offices, providing a comprehensive range of accountancy, audit, tax and business advisory services to SMEs, owner-managed businesses and larger organisations.

With a strong emphasis on professional development, flexible working and a collaborative environment, the firm provides an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Senior to take greater ownership of assignments, expand their management accounts experience and become more involved in client advisory work.

Responsibilities

Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
Prepare corporation tax computations and relevant tax calculations, ensuring compliance with UK accounting and taxation requirements.
Assist with the preparation of management accounts, providing financial information to support clients' business decisions.
Manage your own portfolio of assignments, ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Act as a point of contact for clients, resolving accounting and tax queries and building strong working relationships.
Identify opportunities to provide additional accounting, tax and business advisory support.
Work closely with Managers and Partners on more complex client assignments and advisory projects.
Support junior colleagues where appropriate, sharing technical knowledge and assisting with their development.

As an Accounts Senior you will:

Have strong experience preparing statutory accounts within a UK accountancy practice.
Be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
Be confident preparing financial statements and tax computations for incorporated and unincorporated businesses.
Have a sound understanding of UK GAAP and relevant accounting and tax legislation.
Ideally have experience preparing management accounts and providing financial insights to clients.
Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and build client relationships.
Be proactive, detail-oriented and interested in developing your technical and advisory experience.
