Our client is a highly respected 8-Partner Firm with a strong presence in Essex. Operating from multiple offices with a team of over 60 professionals, they combine the technical expertise of a large practice with a supportive, people-first culture that values long-term career development.

Accounts & Audit Senior responsibilities

Lead the preparation of complex statutory accounts and management accounts for a diverse portfolio, ensuring files are review-ready for Partners.
Manage and deliver statutory audits from planning through to completion, ensuring full compliance with audit regulations and FRS 102.
Act as a mentor to junior staff, delegating work effectively and providing constructive feedback to support the development of trainees.
Identify and resolve complex accounting and corporation tax issues, liaising with specialist departments to provide a seamless client service.

As the successful candidate you will

Be ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 5-6 years of experience within a UK public practice environment.
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of Audit regulations and accounting disclosures, including FRS 102.
Have a proven track record of managing workflows and meeting budgets while preparing accounts in a cost-effective manner.
Possess experience in supervising junior team members and reviewing their work to ensure high standards are maintained.
