Responsibilities

As a Semi Senior Accountant you will:

Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships in accordance with relevant UK accounting standards, including FRS 102 and FRS 105.
Assist with the preparation of Corporation Tax computations and returns.
Prepare and submit VAT returns, and support the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
Undertake bookkeeping duties and maintain accurate accounting records using leading software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries, request information, and provide ongoing support.
Work closely with senior accountants and managers to ensure assignments are completed accurately and within deadlines.
Assist with the preparation of personal tax returns where required.
Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to provide additional support.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice (ideally 2+ years).
AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
Strong working knowledge of UK accounting standards and practical exposure to Corporation Tax, VAT, and bookkeeping.
Proficiency in accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive, communicative approach.
