Responsibilities

Prepare and review statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for a varied portfolio of businesses, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Plan, organise and lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
Manage your own portfolio of assignments, monitoring budgets, deadlines and recoverability.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, resolving queries and providing practical advice on accounting and tax matters.
Identify weaknesses in clients' internal controls and accounting processes, recommending improvements where appropriate.
Supervise and review the work of junior colleagues, providing technical guidance, training and constructive feedback.
Work closely with Audit Managers, Partners and colleagues across tax and advisory teams to identify additional client planning opportunities.
Use accounting and practice management software, including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Digita, APS and Virtual Cabinet, to deliver assignments efficiently.

As an Accounts & Audit Senior you will:

Have strong accounts preparation and external audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
Ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified, or have equivalent experience within practice.
Be confident preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for a range of business structures.
Have experience planning and leading audit assignments, with a sound understanding of UK GAAP and relevant auditing standards.
Be comfortable managing client relationships, deadlines and assignment budgets.
Have experience supervising junior colleagues and reviewing their work.
Be organised, proactive and commercially aware, with an interest in developing your technical and client advisory experience.
